RAF Mildenhall's traffic is long-range by nature. This tracks aircraft this field has actually seen — anywhere in the world a ground receiver can hear them — rather than only what is inside the local radar ring.

What this can and cannot see
- No mid-ocean coverage. This is terrestrial ADS-B from volunteer receivers. A transatlantic leg disappears for several hours — that gap is physics, and nothing here interpolates across it.
- Coverage is uneven. It is heavily weighted to North America and Europe. Much of Africa, Asia and the southern oceans is dark.
- Direction is inferred. Inbound and outbound come from the aircraft's instantaneous heading relative to the field, not a filed flight plan. An aircraft on a refuelling orbit or a dogleg will read as transiting.
- Absence proves nothing. Military aircraft routinely fly with ADS-B switched off.
